I have a massive collection of sunglasses. My fascination with sunglasses began when my late grandfather gave me my first pair of Ray-Ban Aviators when I was just 8. I remember the lenses being way too big for my face at that time but I still thought I looked cool in them.
Once I could afford it, I started adding more designs to my collection. But my two favorite brands of sunglasses remain Revo and Ray-Ban.
I absolutely love a couple of models of sunglasses Revo designs, specifically the Revo Cut Bank RE4045 and the Revo Discern Titanium RE8000. My favorite models Ray-Ban designs are the Ray-Ban Aviators and the Ray-Ban Wayfarers.
Technology In Revo Sunglasses
Not many people know just how much state-of-the-art technology is in each pair of sunglasses Revo designs.
Firstly, Revo’s High Contrast Polarization does such a good job at blocking glare it allows the user to view unbelievably clear optics. Not surprisingly, they outperform the competition in industry standard tests. All Revo lenses block 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC light thanks to their propriety infusion molding process called Serillium and Revo Crystal, their proprietary optical glass.
Secondly, Revo uses environmentally friendly material for their frames called Eco-Use. Eco-Use is light and flexible material made from the seed of the castor bean plant. Revo also uses 100% recycled pre-consumer polymer resins called Re-Use. Re-Use is a top-grade recycled TR-90 nylon that offers equal quality and performance features of frames made from conventional un-recycled material.
Finally, my favorite feature in the sunglasses Revo designs is their Motion-fit system. What this technology does is comfortably and correctly position the lenses in such a way that it guarantees the widest and clearest field of vision possible. Seriously, sometimes I do not even realize I am wearing them.
Looks wise, Revo sunglasses are more on the sporty side. Which is why I prefer to use them exclusively when I go on my adventure trips like rock climbing, trekking and trail running.
Iconic Ray-Ban Designs
Ray-Ban sunglasses are the most commonly seen sunglasses on the silver screen. I remember them seeing them a very long time ago in the movie Top Gun. And more recently, in the latest installment of the Man In Black movie series.
Although these sunglasses also have quite a bit of technology in them, I prefer to use them for social occasions because their designs, especially the Ray-Ban Wayfarers, just look so downright timeless and cool.
How timeless and cool are they? Well, the Ray-Ban Wayfarers have been around since the 1950s and you can always sport a celebrity wearing a pair in almost every lifestyle magazine you pick up.
