The Latest Trends in Sunglasses

Hollywood is constantly being watched, and for all the right reasons. They set the latest trends in sunglasses, clothing, and everything style related. This year, the hot trend is to wear the oversized sunglasses, but not just any old pair will do. While oversized is cool, there are plenty of brands, no-name companies, and styles that are big no-no’s in the world of sunglasses. The most popular styles include: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, 70’s style thick framed sunglasses, tortoise shell frames, gradient lenses, John Lennon-style round glasses, Aviators, and oversized sunglasses. However, you have to have them just right in order to actually pull off a trendy look.

The gradient lens sunglasses are one of the latest trends in sunglasses. These will show more attention to detail in the lenses and less in the actual frames. Having them half shaded from top to bottom is all the rage in Hollywood and other stylish locales. Ray-Ban’s Wayfarers are an Urban Classic, offering classic black, vintage bright colored, and new two-toned frame choices for the ultimate in classic sunglasses style. The 70’s style thicker frames have been popular for a couple of years now, but you need to be very careful when choosing exactly which retro-inspired glasses are right for you.

You could choose a chic pair of retro sunglasses that you think are just the style, but end up purchasing a cheap knock-off, a style from an era that isn’t in right now, or even a pair that is completely out and eclectic and won’t get you noticed for more than a laugh. Choosing from the latest trends in sunglasses can be tricky. You might buy a pair that look exactly like the ones you saw on Kate Moss, but anyone who’s everyone knows that they’re nothing like the ones she wore, and hideously out of style in reality. The round “John Lennon” style has only come back in for women, so guys, stay away.

Oversized sunglasses, the librarian look, and tortoise shell glasses are all still hot this year. They will go out of style eventually, but this year isn’t their time. These styles, along with Aviators, continue to be the staple pieces in fashionable eyewear when it comes to the latest trends in sunglasses. If you’re looking to be hip, hot, and in fashion, stick with these styles and buy only from name-brand companies to get the look you want. Cheap imitations are just in bad taste.
