Any one with a sense of style knows that Fashion runs in cycles described by sayings such as “what’s old is new gain”, “Vintage Chic” or many similar saying all meaning the same thing, that past trends are always brought back to life. Sunglasses are no exception, and the year in question is the rocking 1980’s. While we can do with out those 80’s hair dos, those sunglasses we can not! Ray ban bringing back the original wayfarer began the trend, but taking it to the next level is Retro Super Future, with their sunglasses line known just as Super, or Super sunglasses.
Super sunglasses are not just your average shades that are fashion without function, they are all handmade and feature Zeiss lenses which are renowned for their superior optics. Super took the traditional wayfarer made it a little bigger called it their basic shape and dropped it in every color in the rainbow, plus some unique patterns and combos.
Another one of our favorite shapes of Super sunglasses is the distinctly original Flat Top. Super Flat Top sunglasses are just as the name would suggest, they have a “Flat top” (think that 80’s hair style) and give a fresh modern take on the classic wayfarer sunglass.
With an ever growing following such Kayne West and Christina Aguilera in the Flat Top model to Sienna Miller and Jessica Alba in the basic shape… these gems are quite difficult to get a hold of, as each design is available in limited quantities. While it adds an extra obstacle to track down your pair, one good thing is that you won’t see too many others with the same design (which has happened to me quite a few times with my other shades).
Without a doubt when it comes to sunglasses the 80’s are here and don’t appear to be going any where, and one must have are Super sunglasses from Retro Super Future, as you are sure to find a design that you will absolutely love.
