Something to Know More About Different Types of Sunglasses

In today’s world, we can’t see a single person without sunglasses. It is used not only for fashion purposes, but also for preventing bright sunlight and high-energy light from discomforting the retina. Old age people who undergo cataract also use these kinds of stylish sunglasses these days to avoid the sick-look. Health care professionals today are recommending that every individual who is exposed to solar energy is supposed to wear their sunglasses to avoid the UV radiations so that eye related problems can be controlled to a greater extent.

While driving vehicles, particularly at higher speed, dazzling glare caused by solar radiation or by bright-lights reflecting off snow, puddles, other lights, or the rear of the vehicle, can always be lethal. These glasses can protect against glare while driving. Two criteria must be properly met: vision must be clearer, and these glasses must let sufficient light to get into the eyes for the on-the-road driving conditions.

We have many types under these sunglasses.

• Aviator sunglasses are oversize waterdrop-shaped lenses and a thin metallic framed. To make a fashion statement, these sunglasses are often made in fully mirrored, multi-colored, and wrap-around styles.

• Oversized sunglasses, which were considered as super-fashion in the 1980s, are now often used for animating and comical purposes. They are usually manufactured in bright colors with colourful lenses and is afforded by people with lower incomes too. These are used mainly for people who are apparently trying to minimize their nose-size. Mostly people use these type of sunglasses these days as these are considered fashionable.

• Shutter Shades decrease solar exposure by means of a beam of vertical, horizontal shutters. These reduce the amount of sun rays falling directly into the wearer’s eyes. To provide UV protection, these shades sometimes use lenses in addition to the filters; Otherwise, they provide very meagre protection against UV rays and bright eyes damaging light.

• Wrap-around glasses: Wrap-around glasses are a unique style of sunglasses which are uniquely curved, to wrap around the face. They have a curved spherical lens that covers both the eyes and most of the area of the face covered by protective glasses, mostly with a smaller plastic frame and single pieced plastic serving as a nosepiece.

These are some of the types of sunglasses. They not only act as a styling agent but also boost up the wearer’s confidence. They reflect people’s standard of living enhancing one’s personality in an easy way.
