As a family tradition, the winter ski trip I go on every season has given me the opportunity to learn more about the proper gear needed for such a vacation. My sister and brother, plus my parents all have different ideas about the equipment each should carry. Minor disagreement put aside, our entire family has one thing in common – we all think safety is the number one priority.
I am a big fan of the Electric Ski Goggles. Their stunning designs, coupled with amazing performances are things I am now used to and I couldn’t trade that for anything else. Another big advantage I see when wearing Electric Goggles is the wide range of lenses I can choose from. That helps a lot in different weather conditions and on the mountain, it can go from bright sunny to dark cloudy in just half an hour. Although they manufacture clothing and sunglasses, Electric Visual means only one thing for me – Snow Goggles.
My brother on the other hand prefers his eyewear protection from Quiksilver. They do offer some great features with the new 2010 range and although their goggle designs have been improving recently, I still wouldn’t trade my EG1s for a pair of Italian trendy Eclipse from Quiksilver.
On the ladies department, both my mother and my sister now are wearing the same brand, which is Roxy. Up until 2 years ago, my conservative mother was wearing Oakley, but ditched them after a big argument with my sister and she realised Oakley, with all their tremendous history and innovations, have not released anything new in this department for years. Their attention is focused on Sunglasses and other apparel so from 2008 she is now going with Roxy, thanks to my sister’s persistence.
Roxy Goggles have really took over the spotlight recently and although they are a new brand, their popularity is unquestionable, especially amongst young active women. Features like distortion free and shatter resistant lenses and the perforated lens for increased ventilation, coupled with beautiful frame designs now attract millions of lady fans towards the hip and stylish Roxy Ski Goggles.
In the end, regardless of the brand names you’re using, the most important thing is safety and, obviously the fun factor!
For me, the best snow equipment must start with a pair of Electric EG1 EG5 Ski Goggles [ https://www.gogglespro.com/]. As the “Four Eyed Freaks” motto of the brand, I’ve always been a fan to their attention to detail and comfortable fit goggle frames.
