Oakley Thump Pro MP3 Sunglasses – Hollywood Style and Audiophile Functionality

If you are the type of person that hates having a lot of things to keep up with, MP3 sunglasses may be for you. In most cases, when you start combining things functionality tends to be compromised. With MP3 sunglasses my first thought is that they would take shortcuts with the sound quality. As you will find out in this review, Oakley Thump Pro’s not only look good, but they sound great.

The more accessories you have to keep up with, the more likely you are to lose something. If you are like me, and tend to like to get higher quality goods, you really prefer not to lose any significant investments. It is stressful for me trying to keep up with my ipod, sunglasses, cellphone, wallet and keys everyday.

Being able to combine any of these accessories can significantly reduce the stress of keeping up with all of them.

Oakley has been refining their Thump sunglasses and the new Pro’s are definitely an improvement in style over the originals. The glasses come in 1GB, 512MB and 256MB versions, having the digital player built into the frame, so there’s no dangling wires to get in your way. A single charge gives you six hours of music and support for MP3, AAC, and WMA file formats. The Thump sunglasses are pretty easy to operate. There are three buttons on the right temple of the sunglasses, one in the middle for turning the Thump on and off, one in the front for advancing and fast-forwarding and another in the back for skipping back a track and rewinding. On the left side there are two buttons, one for increasing volume and another for decreasing.

Features:

  • Adjustable speakers
  • Sweat-resistant frames
  • high-definition optics and UV-filtering
  • Light weight
  • Download music directly via USB cord

Some of the downfalls are that you can’t really wear these at night or indoors since they are sunglasses and compared to other MP3 players like the iPod the price is kind of high. They start at $249 and go up to $349 for the 1 GB pair. If that doesn’t scare you off, then these Oakley Thump Pro’s might just be what you are looking for.
