Do you hate wearing contacts and/or glasses? Boy, I sure do. There are many, many reasons for this, too, which I will share with you momentarily. Let’s just say that if there was a way to improve eyesight naturally, I would be among the first in line to learn how. Unfortunately, there is no such “how to improve eyesight naturally” option available to us… right? Or is there?
The reality is, the muscles in our eyes have become incredibly lazy. And as a result, they’ve gotten weaker, leading to a whole host of vision problems, the most common of which are myopia (near-sightedness), along with far-sightedness, lazy eye, cataracts, and others. There are a number of factors that come into play which weaken our eye muscles, compromise the health of our eyes, and destroy our vision.
Here are three of these factors:
1. Stress. When we’re constantly stressed out over our finances, jobs, relationships, futures, or whatever, a very real and dangerous chain of events happen in our heads. One of these events is eye strain. Have you ever noticed that when you worry or stress, you will often end up with a headache? And for most people, the epicenter of that headache is behind and around the eyes. This is NOT phantom pain, it is muscle strain.
2. Poor nutrition. Like any other organs in our bodies, the eyes need proper nutrition to function properly. Namely, we need vitamins A and C, along with lutein and others. Antioxidants keep the blood purified and circulating properly. Bilberry is a fantastic choice. Natural supplementation is certainly a good idea, but whole food (unrefined, raw veggies and fruits are best) is still king.
3. Glasses and contacts themselves. Why? Well, the analogy I most often give to explain that is a wheelchair. Assuming your legs could still function, but they were weak. As a result, you decided it best to get around exclusively via wheelchair or power scooter. Over time, what would happen to your legs? After a few years, they would become so weak you probably couldn’t walk anymore at all. Corrective lenses have a similar effect on your eyes. They do all the seeing for you, so that your eyes don’t have to put in any work, and become weaker as a result.
Learning how to improve eyesight naturally is as simple as looking into the works of famous ophthalmologist Dr. William H. Bates, MD. His “Bates Method” teaches people how to take control of their vision using a series of specific and powerful eye exercises, along with an optimized nutrition regimen. Some men and women have even claimed that Dr. Bates’ methods took them from legal blindness to near perfect vision.
