There are very few constants in this world, and among them are the fact that polar bears are white, grass is green, and sunglasses break on a regular basis. For this reason many people are reluctant to buy name brand polarised sunglasses. But polarised sunglasses play a huge part in our health and welfare, so why should we avoid them?
The reason we wear them is because the rays of the sun beat down on us daily. These rays contain radiation, and can cause not only cancer, but can also cause some of the aging effects that so many people try to stop. For instance, the sun is a great causer of wrinkled skin. For the rest of our bodies we can use sunscreen or even anti-aging cream. Our eyes however are an entirely different story. We don’t have creams to protect them, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

For the longest time these amazing pieces of sunglass technology were banned from public use. The military only deemed them to be appropriate for their aviators, but soon enough everything changed. The Aviator glasses became available, but they were still expensive.
So how expensive are we talking here? Well a good pair of glasses could cost up to four hundred dollars. Are you willing to pay that much for your sunglasses? If not, then you can feel free to look into some of the cheaper polarised sunglasses.
Many people will tell you to only go with the name brand glasses. Well the name brand glasses do have a few things going for them. For one, they are name brand, meaning you will look great in them. But you can look just as great in a pair of discount sunglasses. The truth is, the discounted glasses can be quite good. Some might not be as well made, but that doesn’t mean you can’t search for a pair that will last you for several years.
