Reincarnation is the belief that after the body dies the soul lives on and returns to the spiritual realm, then returns to the earth realm to once again inhabit another body with a new life. The belief in reincarnation has been around for thousands of years especially in religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism. It wasn’t until I started down the path of New Age philosophy that I gained a solemn interest in the belief of multiple lives. New Age teachings tell us that each lifetime a soul experiences adds to that soul’s overall knowledge, thus bringing that soul closer to absolute enlightenment. A soul reincarnates back to the earth realm for a specific reason, whether it be to learn a certain life lesson, to fulfill a soul contract, or some other reason. But just remember, there is a specific purpose for a soul reincarnating back to the earthly realm. And it is this eternal soul striving for complete enlightenment that I want to share with you.
Each one of us is a spirit inhabiting a fleshly body; therefore we should carefully consider how we perceive those around us. Let me elaborate. I have mentioned in another post how I love watching documentaries, and some of those can include conspiracy theories. The conspiracy theories can range from global warming to 9/11, and most programs tend to always point a finger at some group or individual who is behind it all. I’m not going to get into the how’s and the why’s of these conspiracy theories, but it is the “who is behind it” that I want to discuss.
The other night I was watching Jesse Ventura’s show “Conspiracy Theory” about global warming. When the part of the program came to where one individual was pointed out as being the ultimate con behind it all I felt my blood beginning to boil. I wanted to see the score settled with this man.
There are many problems facing the world and humanity today, and behind many of these dilemmas is some corporation, wealthy family, or greedy tycoon that seems to be responsible for the crisis. I’m sure there are many people out there who loathe the Bush and the Rockefeller families, billionaire CEOs, corrupt politicians, lobbyists, or perhaps some Wall Street crook like Bernard Madoff. Believe me; I used to wish very bad things on these kinds of people because I saw them as the cause for the world being in the shape it is today. However, even though I still view these groups and individuals as being chiefly responsible for many of the predicaments we as humanity face, I couldn’t help but to start viewing them in a different way.
While I was watching “Conspiracy Theory” and they showed the person behind the global warming money scheme I had a change of heart. Instead of hating and wanting to see that person get what he had coming, I saw him as a spirit inhabiting a physical body. In the first paragraph of this post I talked about spirits reincarnating to the earth realm for a purpose, this goes for everyone, even people like Dick Cheney. I can’t imagine a spirit incarnating to a human body just to be an evil, greedy, SOB who cares nothing for the general welfare of humankind. And even if it were so, you have to understand there is a reason for it; perhaps it is a lesson that needs to be learned by that soul. The prospect of multiple lives means someone like you or I may have been one of these greedy, power-hungry individuals in another lifetime. Hell, for all I know I could have been Hitler in another lifetime. I know it sounds farfetched but the possibility is there.
As I search within myself for answers that elude me, I have opened up doors within my soul that I never knew were there. I no longer hate but love. I try to view every person as a spirit rather than just another person on this planet. Each soul is here for a specific reason, and unless you can say you know what that reason is, try not to be swift with your judgment. I don’t want to send the message that I excuse these people for their corruption; I am just saying put on your spirit goggles and try considering them as spirits working towards their individual enlightenment.
