We know that the eyes ability to adjust itself deteriorates during the time and when we get old we need to use glasses for reading and things like that. Losing eye sights gradually is a natural thing that cannot be stopped an up to now there wasn’t anything we could do about it. Now imagine that an old person not only gets his/her sight back but it becomes even better it was before, wouldn’t it be something to celebrate? No doubt it would and some already doing it.
Fred Batt was one of the first who has enjoyed the new technique. Fred has been experiencing lose of eye sight since a number of years and had never imagined that it could ever by reversed. Now with the help of a new technology developed by Larry Benjamin at “The Royal College of Ophthalmology” his eyes have a vision of 20/20.
Natural lenses in the eyes begin to lose their flexibility around the age 30/40 and so they would not follow the orders from the brain to adjust based of the distance of objects from it. As the result the person would need glasses for reading or doing fine jobs. Now new lenses has been produced that wouldn’t lose their elasticity as the time passes and further more the eye surgeon would be able to adjust it even after the surgery.
The method has been developed in United Kingdom and costs about 3000 British Pounds and as of yet is not covered by the National Health System. But hopefully it won’t take long before every old man and woman can get a free super eye through the system.
