When you look at the word now, you will be able to see it clearly even if you are not straining to see each letter.

Practice this eye exercise by picking a single object and letting each of your eyes focus on it until they are both focused. This will stop you from squinting to bring the details together, and it will teach each of your eyes to do an equal amount of work when you are examining something.
